City Church Spokane Childrens Ministry

At City Church Spokane, we believe raising up the next generation is a crucial part of why we exist. We have the great joy and responsibility of pouring into the next generation through City Kids. Our goal is to help raise children to be Godly adults, and to assist in developing a passion that draws them to seek the Lord daily, without prodding. Their increasing faith brings their family into a sincere desire to worship, learn, play, love and grow together in Christ.

Classroom:

Our curriculum is specifically designed to teach children the basic bible stories, and help prepare them to not only sit and listen, but to also prepare them to share their faith with others.

We serve various ages of kids starting with the littlest kids of all (newborns) and extending through current 3rd grade.

For children who have “aged out’ of City Kids (currently 4th grade and older), we have Quiet Books (available at the check-in center) that they are welcome to use during service. Each week they are changed out with new bible worksheets, and activities. These books can assist the parent and child(ren) as they grow in this transition.

Check-In:

Rest assure that while we love to have fun, safety is our first priority. This is why we offer a secure check-in process where your family will receive a random, computer generated, alpha-numeric code each time your child(ren) are checked in. As well, all of our adult servants are background checked on a routine basis.

Children will check in at our main floor check-in center, which is open 30 minutes prior to the start of service. Children ages 0-3 will go straight to their classroom after checking in. Children ages 4-3rd grade will remain with their parents through worship, and then be escorted to their classroom from the sanctuary by a City Kids staff member. The check-in center remains open until 4:10 pm at which time we ask families to check in at our City Kids check-in center on the lower level of the building.

We love the next generation which is why you may also see some of our pre-teens and teenagers (most of whom are City Kids “graduates” and have moved onto our Ignite Youth Ministry) also serving your child(ren).
