Meet Our Team

Mike & Lisa Fairburn – Founding Pastors
Pastor Mike and Lisa belonged to Life Center church in Spokane for 17 years where they served in children’s ministry, premarital training, marriage mentoring, men and women’s ministries, recovery small groups and served on the church council. Pastor Mike and Lisa also lead over 500 men and women through the Love and Respect classes. In October of 2005,  they began attending the Spokane Ministry Institute in preparation for full-time ministry. In 2008, at the direction and instruction of their pastor, they began meeting with a handful of friends in their home and less than a year later…City Church Spokane was born. Pastor Mike and Lisa have a passion to see men, women and families set free from the things that hold them captive and keep them stuck. They truly believe that through Jesus, lives can be transformed and a full rich life lived out here on earth, just like Jesus said in John 10:10. Pastor Mike and Lisa feel led to help equip leaders to go out into this city and this world and change it through Jesus love.

kaleb-fisherKaleb Fisher – Lead Teaching Pastor                                                                                                                                                 Kaleb’s original position was serving at the church’s youth group ministry, Ignite. As his role at the church grew, Kaleb opted to retire from a promising young boxing career in order to purse ministry more intentionally.

Kaleb completed his work at the Spokane Ministry Institute in 2012, and served part-time first as the church’s Youth Pastor and then Young Adult’s Pastor. In September 2014, Kaleb moved to a full time position as an Associate Pastor, and currently serves as the Lead Teaching Pastor.

Kaleb is passionate about what the Lord is doing in our city, in the Garland District and in our church! He believes that the power of the Holy Spirit wants to tear down the strongholds in peoples lives all over this city and set them free in Jesus!

Jason Krauss – Administrative Pastor
Jason was part of the original “core team” that helped to start City Church. Jason started full time as the church’s Administrative Pastor in April 2011, while finishing his coursework at Spokane Ministry Institute. Prior to this, he worked as a RN here in Spokane for ten years; first as a cardiac care RN, and finishing as the Assistant Director of Clinical Research for a major cardiology group.

Jason and his wife, Andrea, share a common passion for finance, marriage, and homeless teen ministry.

John Leland – Men’s Ministry Pastor
John has called Kim his bride and Spokane his home since 2001. Packing up just after being married, the Leland’s headed west from the east coast to serve in ministry to the local church where John served as a youth pastor for three and a half years. His time serving the church as a professional minister bolstered his love for his wife and instilled in him a compassion for people and the world around him.

John attended Oklahoma Christian University where he earned a degree in business/pre-law. Presently, John works as a realtor serving the greater Spokane area.

What drives John, though, is his deep desire to impact the world around him and serve his global community. He is heavily involved in the work of International Assistance Program (IAP) where he currently serves as the Executive Director, and has been traveling to Africa and Central America since 2007, assisting with community development and sustainable business projects.

John serves on the church’s leadership team, and helps provide oversight to the church’s Men’s Ministry.

Ken Martini – Ignite Youth Ministry Pastor
Ken and his family first came to City Church Spokane because of the church’s passion for outreach in the neighborhood, and they quickly fell in love with the church and made it their home.

Ken has served in youth ministry in Spokane for over thirteen years.

Ken has a love and passion for today’s youth, and wants to see the Gospel be ignited in his students. Students are welcomed with love and fun, and are lead with a purpose to see students transformed into fully sold out lovers of Jesus!

Holli Brown – Worship
Holli initially joined the worship team as a volunteer vocalist and keyboard player in 2010, becoming the Director in 2014.

Born and raised in Spokane, Holli has always had a passion for singing and music. She served on Life Center’s worship team for ten years, under the direction of Paul and Amy Miller. Her growth under Paul and Amy’s leadership flourished, and God began to reveal His worship gifting in her.

Holli loves to worship, and finds leading her church in worship to be a honor and a privilege as well as humbling.

Joelle Davidhizar – Women’s Ministries

Joelle has lived in Spokane since 2011. Through a series of beautiful events, she and her family found themselves at City Church where she served in numerous capacities over the years. She stepped into leadership as the Director of Women’s Ministries in September of 2017.

Joelle attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago where she earned a bachelor’s degree in both Bible and pre-counseling. She is passionate about the word of God, leading others into a more intimate relationship with Christ, and finding the perfect maple bar.

Raised on the East Coast, Kim received her bachelor’s degree in business management at Oklahoma Christian University. Since 2001, she and her husband John have called Spokane “home” and are currently homeschooling their three young children. Together they have had many wonderful opportunities to grow and serve in a variety of ministries as a family.

In 2013, City Church became their faith community and in late 2016, Kim was called to service in children’s ministry. God has established in her a great passion for cross-generational ministry and a deep desire to see children grow in community with Christ and His Church.
